Read this before comparing the numbers. Their listing publishes the two plan names and the Pro price but no volume figures we could read, and their own pricing page returned nothing. We are not going to guess at a quota, so the column says what we could verify and no more.
For reference, ours: Operator is $79 a month for 15,000 products, tax exclusive. The full table is on the pricing page. Units differ between vendors — read what a plan counts, not just what it costs.
What Csvio does better
This section is first on purpose. If any of it is what you need, the rest of the page is beside the point.
- They read PDF price lists. We do not — that is a genuinely harder input than a spreadsheet and it is a real capability we lack.
- Saved file layouts mean repeat imports skip mapping, which is the same idea as our Supplier Profiles and is a good one.
- At $19 a month it is materially cheaper than us, and for a merchant whose files are already clean that may be the whole story.
Where the jobs actually differ
- Automatic column mapping is the part of this job where being confident and wrong is most expensive. We refuse to resolve two columns claiming one field, and we never map a cost column to a price automatically — a supplier cost on a storefront is a mistake no validator downstream can catch, because a cost is a valid price.
- We run against the target grammar and name the rows that will fail before anything is written. Mapping and validating are different jobs.
Pick Csvio if…
If your supplier sends PDFs, or if your files are already clean and you want the cheapest route from spreadsheet to store.
We would rather say that here than have you find it out after paying us. Under about a hundred products, incidentally, none of this matters and a chat window will do — the pricing page says so too.
The thing we do that none of these do
We run before the import, against the target grammar, and name the rows that will break it — including the failures that produce no error message at all, which is most of the dangerous ones. Two products whose handles collide become one product, silently, under a banner reporting success.
And every field we generate is marked: supplied by your file, inferred by us, or abstained from with a reason. A field we could not resolve comes back blank rather than plausible.
Whether that is worth anything depends entirely on whether your supplier files are a mess. If they are clean, we are an expensive way to solve a problem you do not have.
